A tour for students from the St. Petersburg State Technical University to the AGRISOVGAZ hot-dip galvanizing plant in the Leningrad Region
On March 20, as part of an educational program for students of the Saint Petersburg State Technological Institute (SPbSTI), a tour of the AGRISOVGAZ hot-dip galvanizing plant in the Leningrad Region was organized.

The AGRISOVGAZ galvanizing plant is the largest network of hot-dip galvanizing plants in Russia and the CIS. The company has been galvanizing metal structures since 1995 for the construction, energy, oil and gas, mechanical engineering, road infrastructure, agriculture, and rolled metal industries. The plant's production capacity in the Leningrad Region is 36,000 tons of galvanized metal structures per year. The technological base includes a modern line equipped with high-tech equipment, including the longest galvanizing bath in the Northwestern Federal District (length - 13 m, width - 1.8 m, depth - 3.2 m).

Students, along with Mikhail Nikolaevich Bobrov, Associate Professor of the Department of Technology and Electrochemical Production at St. Petersburg State Technical University, learned about all the production stages of galvanizing technology—mounting metal products on a crossbar, degreasing, washing, acid etching, fluxing, drying, as well as the hot-dip galvanizing process itself, followed by cooling.

Zinc processing, with its precision technology and modern equipment, is no longer just theory from textbooks for the students, but a living process they've witnessed with their own eyes. We're confident that events like these help them make informed career choices and define their future goals and aspirations.
