The modernization of road infrastructure in Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic, was timed to coincide with the 71st anniversary of the birth of the First President of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov.
The aim of the reconstruction is to improve the comfort of the population and reduce street congestion.
The Regional Public Foundation named after Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov widened the road surface and carried out a series of improvements to the city's main thoroughfares. The most extensive changes affected one of the city's main streets, named after the combat officer and Hero of Russia, Saypuddin Lorsanov.
AGRISOVGAZ installed 90 lighting poles for the improvement project, which, along with new traffic lights and more than 150 road signs, improved traffic safety on the busy thoroughfare. These innovations, along with the reconstructed pedestrian area and parking bays, not only visually transformed Lorsanov Street but also adapted it to the current traffic situation, improving safety and traffic capacity. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the Chechen Republic and Hero of Russia Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov, the Chairman of the Parliament of the Chechen Republic Magomed Daudov, the Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic Muslim Khuchiev, the Mayor of Grozny Khas-Magomed Kadyrov, and other officials. Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov emphasized the importance of the work accomplished and noted that the implementation of such initiatives remains a priority for the republican authorities. Future plans to improve the city's infrastructure include landscaping the adjacent territory.
