Our country is rightfully considered a pioneer in space. Yuri Gagarin paved the way for humanity into a previously unexplored cosmic galaxy by becoming the first person to orbit the Earth.

Thousands of Soviet scientists worked toward this goal for decades, bringing closer the triumph of domestic space science and industry. Russia remains a leader in the aerospace industry and is rightfully considered a great space power.
