AGRISOVGAZ participated in the production of metal supports for high-voltage transmission lines as part of the reconstruction project for the 110 kV Mirnaya-Belkino line (Obninsk). The project is being implemented at the request of PJSC Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
Obninsk, which celebrates its 69th anniversary this year, is demonstrating steady growth. However, the city's energy infrastructure, built over three decades ago, is both physically and morally obsolete. Therefore, the need for modernization of the energy system has arisen.
As part of this reconstruction, the following was carried out:
☑️ Dismantling of the old line - removed a section of the high-voltage line from support No. 33 to the Belkino substation, removed 5 old supports (No. 34-No. 38) along the route, dismantled 2 powerful portal supports.
Why was this done?
■ Improved safety – outdated structures that could be damaged or do not meet modern standards have been removed.
■ Freeing up space – for the installation of new, more reliable and technologically advanced lines.
■ Eliminate risks – old poles and wires could pose a risk of breaks or short circuits.
☑️ Construction of a new line - a modern section with a power line was built from the same support No. 33 to the substation, using technologies and materials from AGRISOVGAZ LLC.
Why was this done?
■ Increased reliability – modern supports manufactured at our plant will ensure a stable power supply without interruptions.
■ Increased capacity – the new lines are designed for heavy loads, which is important for the city’s growing consumption.
■ Reduced wastage – improved materials and designs will reduce wasted energy.
☑️ Upgrade of the fiber-optic communication line (FOCL). A modern fiber-optic cable, integrated into the ground wire, has been installed from Pole #33 through the new Pole #40 to the Belkino substation. Special couplings for connecting and branching the fiber are located on Pole #33 and at the substation. The existing fiber-optic cable between Pole #33 and Pole #34 has been carefully disconnected. A portion of this cable (on the Pole #33 side) will be retained as a reserve for future repairs or upgrades.
Why was this done?
■ More reliable communication – the new cable will improve data transmission for control and monitoring.
■ Lightning protection – the cable built into the ground wire is less susceptible to damage.
■ Future-proofing – saving old cable can be useful when expanding your network.
The result of such modernization for consumers is uninterrupted power (fewer outages due to worn-out lines), better control over the network (breakdowns will be found and fixed faster), and a reserve for the future (the infrastructure is ready for development in the area).
Combining modern solutions with social responsibility is AGRISOVGAZ's signature approach to all our projects. Our partners receive reliable equipment, the region develops its infrastructure risk-free, and citizens benefit from modern energy networks.
