AGRISOVGAZ experts will participate in the business mission "CHINA: METAL – EXPO 2023"

AGRISOVGAZ experts will participate in the business mission "CHINA: METAL-EXPO 2023 – Guangzhou Metal & Metallurgy Expo & Steel Build," which will take place May 18-21 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. The mission is organized by the International Agency for Social and Economic Development and the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

In March 2023, during a three-day visit to Russia, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin made a series of announcements on expanding economic cooperation between Russia and China. Since then, cooperation between companies in all sectors, including metallurgy, has intensified, opening up a number of new opportunities. China is now a major player in the global metallurgy market, accounting for 30-60% of global demand. The country's industry is rapidly automating and informatizing, implementing artificial intelligence solutions, the industrial internet, and 5G, and developing hydrogen metallurgy technologies. Cooperation with Chinese manufacturers is currently beneficial for Russian companies. It will allow them to upgrade equipment and modernize technological processes at Russian enterprises, increasing the competitiveness of metallurgy products in the global market.

Russian and Chinese companies will be able to exchange experiences at CHINA: METAL EXPO 2023, a large-scale international event showcasing the achievements of the global industrial metallurgical complex, held under the auspices of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. The event will feature Steel Buld 2023 – "Chinese Steel Structures and Metal Building Materials" – for the construction industry, and Guangzhou Metal & Metallurgy Expo (GZHMME) 2023 – 11 specialized international metallurgical exhibitions.

The main objective of our country's business mission is to initiate joint Russian-Chinese projects in the metallurgy sector. To this end, meetings and negotiations are being held between metals market participants and their counterparties at "CHINA: METAL EXPO 2023," where interested parties will be able to conclude framework cooperation agreements and discuss prospects for contract signing. The business mission will also include a roundtable discussion with the Guangdong Province leadership and top management of leading metallurgy companies in the region.

Leading Russian companies are participating in the mission. Experts from AGRISOVGAZ are key members of the delegation. The company is currently in the second phase of modernizing its production facilities, so the primary objective of the visit is to meet with Chinese equipment manufacturers with whom it has not previously collaborated. A series of meetings with current partners and visits to manufacturers of extrusion and coating lines for aluminum profiles are also planned.
