AGRISOVGAZ took part in the Russian agro-industrial summit

On February 17, the Russian Agro-Industrial Summit took place in Moscow. Leaders of the country's agricultural sector discussed the potential for implementing cutting-edge technologies in Russia's agro-industrial complex.
The summit's business program began with a discussion of the development strategy for Russia's agro-industrial complex through 2024. Speakers agreed that Russian farmers have growth prospects, even during the pandemic. Growth opportunities—the most attractive areas for the domestic agricultural sector—were also identified. Among them is vegetable growing, which depends almost entirely on both the capabilities and quality of modern greenhouses produced on an industrial scale and on greenhouse crop cultivation methods, including the use of smart technologies.

Opinions among growers of various crops regarding major innovations in the greenhouse sector are divided. Most farmers believe that abandoning traditional crop production methods for vertical farming with artificial lighting and a controlled environment is not worth it, particularly due to the ultimate cost to consumers. Proponents of growing green crops using "electronic agronomists" advocate a symbiotic relationship: while maintaining greenhouses, vertical farms must be developed.
It's best to implement vertical distribution near large cities. This makes sense from a logistical perspective and due to the high purchasing power of large cities.

This technique is invaluable for regions with harsh climates. Indoor vertical farming is the only way to produce fresh vegetables and salad greens for residents living far from the capital.

The summit featured two sessions: "Technical Re-Equipment of Agricultural Sectors" and "Digital Transformation of the Agricultural Sector: Practical Cases and Implementation Experience." While modernization at agricultural enterprises is ongoing, most Russian companies have yet to appreciate the benefits of the digitalization being implemented.

The Russian Agro-Industrial Summit brought together over 150 participants. Speakers included 30 experts and specialists from the agricultural industry. The event concluded with two roundtable discussions: "Development of Crop and Livestock Production as Key Sectors of the Agricultural Industry" and "The Impact of the Pandemic on Supply Chains."
During the event, representatives of AGRISOVGAZ discussed opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation with farmers and demonstrated products manufactured at the company.
