AGRISOVGAZ took part in the 5th International Conference "Berries of Russia 2022"

The "Berries of Russia 2022" conference, organized by the Russian Berry Union with information support from the FruitNews agency, was held in Voronezh.
The conference traditionally brought together representatives of industry agencies, scientific and educational institutions, berry producers and processors, suppliers of seedlings and saplings, fertilizers and plant protection products, equipment, and packaging.

The conference began with a summary of 2021. Industry figures were presented by Irina Koziy, CEO of the Berry Union. Russian berry producers meet only a tenth of the domestic market's total demand. Strawberries account for the lion's share of berry plantations in Russia – 62%, with raspberries accounting for about 15%. The remaining land is occupied by blueberries, blackberries, and other rarer berry varieties.
One of the main sessions at the Voronezh forum, "Growing Berry in Tunnels and Greenhouses," was devoted to indoor berry production. The importance of this segment is underscored by the fact that the session was moderated by the General Director of the Berry Union.

The conference identified the industry's most pressing bottlenecks. Key among these are the shortage of planting material and specialized greenhouses. Russia imports 28 million berry bushes annually, with a total demand of 40 million, due to the limited greenhouse production for berry crops. Both areas are interconnected and have potential for growth even as sanctions expand.

Representatives of AGRISOVGAZ discussed opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation with partners from the Berry Union and presented the company's greenhouses. AGRISOVGAZ's modern greenhouses, featuring sophisticated technological solutions, are capable of producing two to three berry rotations per year, yielding 15-18 kilograms per square meter in any climate. Moreover, the taste of domestic berries is superior to that of imported ones.
