wow with a stationary crown

This type of tower is characterized by its high strength, heights ranging from 16 to 50 meters, and the number of floodlights not exceeding 50. The upper part of the mast houses a metal structure that provides for the installation of lighting fixtures, control gear units, video cameras, and photo sensors, and also facilitates the maintenance of these devices.

Stationary crowns placed on supports can have various shapes and the possibility of mounting lighting equipment:

  • rectangular service area;
  • round service platform;
  • cassette-type crowns, both with and without a service platform;
  • frames of various designs for placing lighting equipment

The company "AGRISOVGAZ" produces faceted VOU with a fixed crown for the following types of mast shaft attachments in accordance with safety requirements:

  • with stairs, fencing, rest areas;
  • without stairs and railings (a lift is required for maintenance);
  • with a ladder, without a railing (a safety rope is used);
  • with step bolts (safety rope is used).

WOW WITH MOBILE CROWN

This type of mast allows the crown to be lowered and raised for maintenance from the ground without the use of special equipment in a confined maintenance area, reducing time and facilitating the work of operating personnel. This type of tower has a height of 16 to 50 meters and a maximum of 12 floodlights.

The top of the mast houses a head with a mobile crown for mounting lighting and additional equipment weighing up to 500 kg. The lower part of the mast shaft houses the lifting mechanism (gearbox) and the electrical panel.

COMMUNICATION MASTS

Communication masts are designed to support various types of radio repeaters to ensure reliable coverage. Uninterrupted cellular communications require masts to withstand deflections from the vertical axis under loads of at least 1/75 of their height. Depending on the quantity, type, installation height, and orientation, equipment can be mounted directly on the tower.

Depending on the operating conditions and service capabilities, the presence or absence of attachments on the mast shaft is determined. The metal thickness and steel grade (St3 for installation in temperate climates, 09G2S for northern regions) are determined depending on the operating area and the loads.

STANDARDS

St3ps5 GOST 380-2005 – a grade of carbon steel for the production of poles under normal conditions.

09G2S GOST 19281-2014 – a grade of low-alloy steel for use in areas with design temperatures from -40° to -70°.

II4…II11 according to GOST 16350 – climatic regions from I to VII according to SP 20.13330.2011 – wind activity SNiP 2.03.11 – environmental impacts.

All offered metal lighting masts are protected against corrosion by the hot-dip galvanizing method in accordance with GOST 9.307-89.

HMLU DESIGN

HEAD FRAME

The upper head frame is a three-beam frame in which three blocks for steel ropes and one block for the main cable are installed (with the possibility of installing a second and third cable blocks).

The head frame has a seat for installation and fixation on the upper part of the pole shaft. The head frame design is equipped with elements that ensure the steel ropes and main cable stay in the grooves of the corresponding blocks (during installation and operation). The lower part of the frame has three stop bars that ensure the positioning of the lowering frame ("crown") in the stationary (upper) position.

WINCH

A two-stage winch (worm and chain drives) with a pulling force ensuring the raising and lowering of the crown with lighting fixtures with a total weight of up to 500 kg is used as the lifting mechanism.

The gearbox input shaft is equipped with a seat that allows the use of manual (handle) and mechanized (reversible drive) drives.

The worm gear winch has a self-braking effect, which ensures the ability to stop, position the "crown", change the drive type (manual - mechanized) during crown raising/lowering operations.

The winch frame is equipped with a crossbar for fixing the anchor suspension device in the stationary (upper) position of the "crown".

BRACKET

"Crown" support brackets are removable and are standard equipment for each installation.
They are installed in the sockets of the lower pole section to support the "crown" frame during lighting fixture maintenance operations.

ELECTRICAL PANEL

The electrical panel provides protection of lighting fixtures against overcurrents and short-circuit currents and supplies power to the electric drive of the crown raising/lowering mechanism.

The main cable is designed to supply power to the crown lighting fixtures.

FOUNDATION

The anchor block is a prefabricated metal structure consisting of studs, a jig, and fasteners.

Threaded studs are the direct fastening elements. The studs are positioned in accordance with the arrangement of mounting holes on the mast support flange.

The jig is designed for the correct positioning of the studs.

The anchor block is installed in a pre-prepared pit and concreted. When installing the anchor block, additional reinforcement of the monolithic foundation is required to meet its strength characteristics.

In case of installation not on a reinforced concrete foundation, the consumer may implement another fastening method.

ANCHOR SUSPENSION

The anchor suspension is a link in the kinematic connection between the winch and the "crown".

The suspension is a unit for the balance beam connection of the "drive" and three suspension ropes of the "crown", a thrust washer for orienting the ropes and the main cable with clamping devices for the main cable.

A turnbuckle serves as an anchor to relieve the load from the winch. A rigging shackle is used to secure the lower ring of the anchor suspension turnbuckle on the winch crossbar or rope layer (version with an external winch).

SHAFT

The pole shaft consists of a set of hollow conical faceted sections made of sheet metal by bending with one or two longitudinal welds.

The lower section is equipped with a flange for installation and fastening of the shaft to the foundation. In the inner cavity of the lower shaft section, places are provided for installing the winch or rope layer (version of the pole with an external lifting mechanism) and the electrical panel. Access for maintenance of these units is provided through a hatch.

LOWERING FRAME

The lowering frame (crown) is a cylindrical shell, on the inner surface of which three groups of units and parts are installed. This design ensures:

  • suspension, securing and guiding of three steel suspension ropes;
  • a seat on the lowering frame when connecting to the head frame in the stationary (upper) position;
  • protection of the lighting fixture power cable loop by a ring limiter.

On the "crown" frame, a panel with a distribution box for power supply of one group of lighting fixtures is installed; installation of two or three boxes is possible to provide power supply for an additional two, three independent groups of lighting fixtures.

On the "crown", depending on the version, 6, 8, 10 groups of connection and through holes are arranged every 60°, 45°, 36°.

These three versions provide the ability to configure the "crown" with brackets to satisfy a wide range of configurations.
