The agricultural technology of growing seedlings in industrial greenhouses on racks with mobile platforms is currently economically justified and in demand.
Single-tier shelving consists of a frame and a sliding platform. The frame is made of welded aluminum frames, the uprights of which are rigidly attached to the concrete floor and bracing. The platform, made of aluminum profiles along the perimeter, slides along galvanized steel pipes and is equipped with stops to prevent tipping.
During the seedling production process (between crop rotations), green crops or lettuce can be grown on racks in cassettes, cubes and pots.
The platform's aluminum profiles support a plastic tray and a solution supply valve, which provides an ebb-and-flow method of feeding the plants.
The standard platform width is 1807 mm (1837 mm with stops), and the length varies depending on whether the racks are positioned transversely or longitudinally across the greenhouse span. The rack height to the top of the aluminum profile is adjustable from 784 mm to 860 mm above floor level.
